members go online and register to Join A Team.
This ensures the Indemnity has been signed and will save time when you come to collect your race packs, it also allows us to
have your contact details and emergency contact details on file.

Senior laps in thing black/red they are approx 6.50-7.0 km in distance average rider 18-21 minutes
Please note there will be some cross junctions, these will be explained at briefing EVERYONE must attend briefing.
You will receive an email prior to raceday with information you will need to read. It will also be posted on this site once released.
It is great to see our Super Junior Teams and corporate teams coming back.
Key rule will be ride to the left, BE AWARE people will be passing on the right.
When passing let the riders know you are on the right by saying something like PASSING ON THE RIGHT
No electrical devises to be warn (ie music etc)
The race, which is organised by Amazing Days - Events on behalf of The Community Trust as a community fundraiser.
The MTB race takes competitors on a unique journey through Hanmer Forest amongst some amazing mountain scenery.
A DAY FOR ALL YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS
Available at the finishing line will be food and beverages for you and your family and friends to purchase.
The forest camp also has a child's play area so bring the family and enjoy a great event in the alpine village of Hanmer Springs.

Come and ride this course, a mixture of forest roads and non technical single track riding.
The lap approx 6.5 to 7.0km and only a little climb should take average ability riders about 18-21 minutes to complete. The whole event will be run in daylight, so no need for expensive lighting systems, based out of the Forest Camp grounds, so great facilities and plenty of space to enjoy the MTB Village atmosphere.
Super Junior racers will race through the Heritage Forest, however there will be points that other categories come across the children. Care is required.

Super Junior (6-11)
4 hour Super Junior Teams $80.00 per Team (maximum 4 people per team)
(must have their own tail end charlie for each lap)
All other 4 hour Teams $80.00 per Team (maximum 4 people per team)
INDIVIDUALS 4 HOUR
Junior (17 & under) 4 hour solo $45.00pp
Senior (18 & above) 4 hour solo $50.00pp
8 hour Teams $140.00 per Team (maximum 4 people per team)
8 hour Solo $80.00pp
Juniors (17 & under) can only enter the 8 hour as a team and not individually unless discussed with Race Director prior.

As it is difficult to track online payments their will be no internet banking entries.

Entry confirmation: Posted entries confirmed by email only.
Refunds will be given up to the closing date of 17th February 2018 less $10 admin fee. No refunds will be given after this date. Please do not ask!
Entry on the Friday or Saturday will be available at registration for an extra cost of $20
Registration Friday 16th March 2018 - Montieths Brewery Bar on Amuri Avenue from 6.30pm to 8.30pm on or at the Forest Trust Camp on Jollies Pass Rd from 7.00am –8.00am on 17th March 2018 NB If you register it will be assumed you will start the race.
This is an important safety issue. Please do not register and then not start the race.
Race Village access will be available from daylight on the Saturday morning. Vehciles cannot be parked in the race area. this is due to safety reasons. You are welcome to unload your vehicle with your gear and gazebo/tents but your vehicles must then be moved to the designated parking area.
Vehicles cannot return to the taped area until the conclusion of the 8 hour race. All entries for the 8 hour race need to be in the middle of the taped area.
Indemnity Forms: Must be accepted when registering online. Super Juniors and Juniors must have their parent or legal guardian sign the indemnity at registration. Posted entries must sign the indemnity when sending their entry or at registration.
Start time
8 hour will begin at 8.30am
4 hour will begin at 12.30pm
Race briefing for the 8 hour will be at 8am near the registration tent.
Race briefing for the 4 hour will be at noon near the registration tent.
All competitors must attend the race brief.
Start Lap for the junior and senior races will differ slightly from all other laps. (Super Junior race will be the same for start and laps)
The Start 8 hour at 8.30am will be on McIntyre/Jollies Pass corner, and all riders will follow up McIntyre to the Larches picnic area.
Subsequent laps will follow the route as on the course map.
Prize Giving: will be held at the Forest Trust Camp, at approx 5.30pm or when the timekeeper has completed the results.
There will be spot prizes. You must be there to receive your winners certificates or your spot prizes. No prizes will be posted
Teams: Please note there are no age categories in the team races, the prizes/categories Corporate Team, Mixed Age Teams, Mixed Gender Teams, Overall Male Team, Overall Female Team.
In the Super Junior, School Male Team, School Female Team, School Mixed Team, Overall Male Team, Overall Female Team.(no age categories)
PHOTOS: There will be a photographer during the event. Digital photos will be available through hurunuiphotography.co.nz approx 4 days after the event.
Extreme Weather Conditions: ie strong winds, heavy rain or snow may mean it is unsafe to run the race on the planned route. The organiser reserve the right to alter the course at short notice. If postponed or cancelled the organiser reserves the right to withhold entry fees and offer an alternative date or race.
